Hi everyone,
Just wanted to drop you a line. I know it's been awhile. Just wanted to let you all know that in a few weeks this website will have a whole new look, with new grahpics and pictures and a few estra things like a message board and a lyric page. We'll see what else we can fit in too. So please be patient if you are having troube logging on or if the site is down as is may be under construction temporarily..but when it's back it will look wicked and be more functional.
On the music front, I will be going to L.A. in November to get the song I recorded for the RED CROSS mixed. While I am there I will be doing some writing sessions with some very cool people, and I'll fill you in as I know more. So, basically I am just mostly trying to get together a really good catalogue of new songs for possibly a new release. After I have what I think is enough music, I'll be working on getting it out to you somehow...but that won't be for awhile yet.
Also, I am going to pick up some new Delerium tracks today and have a listen. If I feel inspired, which I'm sure I will, I will be working on a track or two for the new Delerium record. So, looks like I have a busy month ahead of me, but I like it that way. Lot's of exciting thingsb happening and I hope you can all hear the fruits of my labours soon. Thanks for visiting and keep coming back, soon you'll be able to post right on the site!

Hi guys,
Sorry it's been awhile and I don't even have that great of an excuse. Basically not too much to tell ya'll. I have been doing a lot on the business end of things and doing a fair bit of writing. Trying get a good selection going before I figure out some way to put another recording together. Had a pretty cool experience today though. I was at Sarah Mclaughlin's home studio recording drums for my new song "out there" which is going to be the Candian Red Cross's theme song. This has been in the works for awhile I know...but it is coming to the close. I think I have a really great mixer lined up too, but I don't want to share until it is totally confirmed. Anyhow, Ash Sood(Sarah's drummer and husband) did an amazing job. He has such a great feel and most importantly he is very nice and the vibes were very good all around. He donated his time and studio and even his own engineer...so thanks Ash!!!
More things....well, we are working on changing the look of the site and adding a message board. Hopefully should be done by the end of October. I'm really looking forward to a new look to bring in the new year with a fresh start. I have some really great people on board to get it all together. As more info comes in I'll post more.
I hope to go to L.A. in November and do some writing with some different people. I have a few feelers out and I am going to L.A. for a friends wedding anyhow, so I hope it works out. I may do a stripped down show while I am there, but not sure yet.
So, I guess that's my update for now. Hope you are all happy and healthy and thanks for checking in!

Hi everyone,
I know it's been awhile..mostly due to the fact that the website has some major problems and I have spent the last 6 weeks or so trying to get the problem solved. Thankfully my friend Rob helped me out and we managed to get the site up and running on a new server. Sorry about all the downtime.
So, I guess I have a lot of catching up to do. Firstly...the tour:
It was a lot of fun and I really have to thank ENATION for all their help with places to stay. As well I want to thank Cary Judd and John Stephens for organizing a lot of stuff....and of course my friend Dave Ciemny who initially got us all together and helped book the shows. I also have to really really thank my band who basically took it upon themselves to venture out on the road under pretty "un rockstar like conditions". Thanks so much you guys....I won't forget it. On tour with me this time was Adrian White on drums (www.silentalarm.com), Brad Ferguson on bass, Alex Rak on the doubleneck and of course long time mainstay and staple Johnny (glass of milk and a smoke) Savella.
It was really great to see some faces from the past at some of the shows..like Portland and Seattle, and also some new faces , like the folks I met in Provo , Utah. Thanks to everyone who came out and showed support for us and the other bands.
I'm not too sure when I will be on the road again. I really want to try a Canadian tour...so I think when I do go out it will be in Canada this time. Haven't toured Canada since the Delerium tour...two years ago and that was just a couple dates.
In other news....I did shoot a video for Imagianation in April...I know, I know..I am trying to get it off to much music and much more..just having some setbacks with the dubbing of the tapes, but I'm getting it worked out. Hopefully have that off in the next couple weeks and I guess we'll see if they play it once or twice. I'll make sure to post it on the site once Much and Much more have it so you all can request it.
As for the RED CROSS song, "out there" ...I am just waiting to hear back from a big mixer to see if he will lend his time and talent. I should know by this week and either way it will be mixed in the next month. I would really love to be able to release something to acompany the RED CROSS song, like an EP or something...but either way...in the least the song will be available as a single very soon. So , that's something to look forward to!!
Hmmmmmmmmmmm, what else...oh, I have been working a little with a new manager. Just a trial thing right now so I don't want to mention who it is. Nothing is offical yet, but if it does work out I think it will be a really good thing.
Other than that I have just been writing and doing demo's for what will hopefully turn into a new cd. I have also written a song for a project called SLEEPTHIEF...not sure when that will be release as I have only just finished the demo...but I'll keep you posted. Whoever is a Delerim fan will most likely really like the SLEEPTHIEF stuff.
Well...that's it for now. Keep your sunscreen on and your tonails painted!!

Hi folks,
Just checking in with you all and giving you a little update. I have been recording on and off the last few weeks. I am recording a new song called "out there" that I wrote awhile back, but after the Tsunami in December, my husband and I thought it was so fitting mood and lyricallly to what was going on , so we had a friend of ours who does some work with the RED CROSS approach them, to see what they thought of the song and if they could use it. Well, to make a long story shorter, everyone at the RED CROSS is very excited about using my "out there" possibly for some PSA's and for many uses in the future. Nationally they seem very excited about the prospect's that are to come. So, on Sunday we went into the FACTORY studio's (who donated time for us) and tracked drums and lead vocals with Gregg Reely. We had already done some guitars with Jim Vallance (songwriter for Bryan Adams, Aerosmith, Ozzy etc. etc.) at his home studio , which he so graciously donated , as well as his own time. Anyhow, it's really coming along ...almost done actually. So, now I am just setting up a session to finish my backing vocals and Leah Rhandi (bass player from the Delerium tour and bass player for PINK) has volunteered to play bass on this song. It should all come together in the next couple of weeks and then we just have to get it mixed by a kick ass mixer (hint hint, Tom Alge.....please?...as if he would ever read this!...but I can dream.) and then we'll see where it goes from there, but I'll keep you posted.
I should also be shooting a new video for Imagination this month in T.O. , so I am keeping busy. Also, writing a lot of new stuff to hopefully record this summer/fall. Oh ya, that tour coming up too. I am really looking forward to it....should be really great to get back on the 'ol I 5 and play our little hearts out. What else? Can't think of anything else right now.......
I hope everyone is well , can't wait to see some of you when I get on the road for the tour!! Thanks for stopping by.

Hi guys,
Just wanted to check in with you all and tell you a little bit about what I have been doing the last few weeks. Well, for the last few days I have been rehearsing with Delerium for the Tsuami relief show at GM Place on June 29. This show will also be broadcast live on CTV starting at 7 pm sharp. It's going to be great. Some really wicked artists are participating. I am actually singing harmonies on one of Sarah McLaughlin's songs in her set as well. It's been really great to jam with her and her band.....most of whom I know from back in the day. Everyone is really positive and fun to be around, so I have been having a great time the last few days and I am really looking forward to the show. This will be my "colluseum devirginisation" ( is that even a word?)...! Also appearing on the bill are the Barenaked Ladies and Sum 41 and Avril....to name a few. My mom is excited to see Avril....who knew , but she was apparantly a closet Avirl fan. No more mom, you're secret is out!!!
Other than than this I have been writing a lot and it is looking like I will be doing some work with the RED CROSS in the near future. I'll keep you posted as it get's confirmed, but that is also very exciting. ........Oh, yes, I almost forgot...there may be a Kristy tour of the West Coast of the U.S. coming in the Spring. Just confriming some things right now and I let you know as soon as the first show is booked. So, lot's going on. Hope you are all well and happy.
Must go to bed and not get sick before the show.
nighty night .......................................K

Hello my sweet thangs,
I know, I know, I have not checkin in in awhile. You know how that whole holiday thing goes. I did not even wish you all a Merry Holiday...so I am doing it now. Better late than never!! I had a pretty mellow holiday this year...lot's of stuffing my face of course, but I don't think I got too fat. Hope you all had a great season. And now, the beginning of a new year. My motto is THRIVE IN 2005!!! I think everyone should adopt it. So far it has been working for me a bit. I found out recently that I will be performing with Delerium at the big Tsunami benefit at GM Place on January 29, along with a few little artists such as Sarah Mclaughlin and Avril Lavigne. I don't want to start any rumours, but I did hear that Sarah was going to sing Silence with Delerium. Wonder if I will do the harmonies? Don't know about that, but it would be wicked if I did!! I have always wondered how our voices would sound together.
Anyoo.......that's the biggest news I have so far this year.....SO FAR, that is. I am writing a lot and trying to get everything set for a Spring recording of new material...which I think Delerium fans will really dig. That's the only hint you will get from me right now. I have to wait and see about the some "business" stuff to let out any more info. Don't want to pull the cart, so to speak.
Well, that's about it....there are some more things in the works..and I will of course let you all know as they come to fruition. Hope you are all well. Miss you.

So, I am in New York right now staying with my wicked friend Harland...whom you may know from the Delerium tour. She was the other chanteuse up on stage with me!! Love her. The weather here is so amazing right now...beautiful sunny skies and crisp cold, but not too cold. I love it here...I really do. Anyhoo...the plan is to shop of course for some wicked clothes and write some songs with Harland, and of course I have some business stuff to attend to.
The night I arrived here H and I went out to this wicked bar called Morrocon bar L'Orange Blue. We danced our fanny's off to wicked music and live congo drumming by true professionals....and ok, we had a few martini's. It was much much fun and I totally suggest going to this place if you are ever in town. It is an experience all it's own..acutally hard to put into words.
So , so far it's been mostly play and no work, but work starts today and I'll keep you updated on the process.
Well, I just wanted to say hello from the big apple. Hope you are all well. Talk to you soon. Love ya.

Hey there folks,
Just checking in which ya'll. I have a few things to tell you. I think you might know about a benefit gig I did at the Center for the Performing arts in September. Well, at that show I was interviewed by Fashion Television as well as MTV Canada. I just found out that the Fashion Television segment will air TONIGHT, Oct 15 at 5 pm on channel 93 during a show called "This week in Fashion". it will also air on City T.V., channel 13 on Sunday October 17th as well as in Toronto later that night on City. Sorry the notice is so late, but I just found out myslef. I am going to see if I can catch it later on Fashion T.V. when I go to visit my parents later tonight and pick up my little baby Quita who is there having a play date with her half sister Rosie, who weighs in at a whopping 2and1/2 pounds!!!
One other thing I wanted to mention....I am in the process of reconstruction my website and I wanted to get some feedback from people. Is there anything you would like to see or not see on the site? Any suggestions please email them to my webmaster through the site or to my fan email through the site. Thanks a lot.
Well, that's it for now, but there is more news to come to staye tuned!!!

Hi everyone!
The Fashion Rocks show at the Center went really well. This was a benefit for the Medallion Housing Society and the Buried Heart Society.
It was great to get back to playing live, and a lot of people got to hear Brad Ferguson, my new bass player, who really adds a lot! We also had lots of fun hanging with all of the cool designers and models backstage. I now know why models are so thin....they seriously run from one end of the building to the next to do costume and hair changes ...NON STOP!! It was a really good time and well attended! I even broke out the old wedding dress from the R.C. days.
During the two songs that we performed a designer called 13th Pixie was showcasing and the clothes were so cool! Just perfect for me...I am actually going to probably have her design some stage threads for me. We were a match made in heaven. Go check out her stuff if you can at www.13thpixie.com.
I also did interviews with Fashion Telelvision and MTV. As soon as we find out when they will be aired, we'll add a note in the News section.
Got to go now and take my doggy out for a mini-sized ummmm...walk. Thank God for that!--the mini size that is.

Hello everyone...sorry it's been awhile. I also have to apologize for not keeping my site as up to date as it should be. I have been reading the message boards lately and finding out that some of you are pretty dissapointed about missing some events. Well...I'm gonna come clean. Basically I had been doing a lot of my website up keep myslef and not doing such a good job I guess. With my wedding and everything else I do I just could not get everything happening on the site that I wanted to...but fear no more!!! I have hired an official webmaster and he ROCKS!!!! So, any concerns or suggestions can be directed to him through the site. He is much better at keeping news up to date as well...so hopefully things will get a little more "on it" regarding the site. Sorry guys.
On another note....I went and saw my friend Mani Khaira play last night. He is so awesome!!!! Some of my band members play with him as well...so if you get a chance check hime out or go to his site and listen to his music!!! He is awesome!
What else? Well, I am suppose to be doing some acoustic shows in L.A. and N.Y. in the next couple of months...but nothing confirmed yet. I am writing a lot these days and I think my songs are going in a very Delerium/Rose Chronicles "esque" direction...we'll see though...you never know untill it's done.
It's true, I am pretty blue about the results of "souvenir"......I thought it would open up more doors for me but I guess it's just not the right timing or something. Still....I really appreciate those of you who appreciate this album and spread the word for me. You guys rock so HARD!!! I love you for all your support. Well, I am going to go and have a big greasy breakfast now...much needed after too many cider's last night. Love you all. Talk soon.

HELLO AGAIN!!! I know, I know...it has been forever since I have written anything...what can I say , I have been busy planning my wedding!! Yes, it's true, I am a married woman now. I have been married for about two weeks now and it is wonderful. My wedding was outdoors at a Vineyard in Kelowna, B.C. The vineyard is Cedar Creek Estate Winery, if you are interested..and let me say they have WICKED wine!!! If you like white's try the Ehrenfelser ...yum , yum. If you like reds....I really like the Pinot Noir. Anyhow, enough wine snobbery.....It was a beautiful day and I will put up a pic or two of me in my wedding attire very soon (hmm.....kind of like those old R.C. days, huh.)
Moving on to career....which has not come to a grinding halt , even though it may seem that way. Well.....as you may have figured , nobody seemed to add or like the first single Run Away (what do they know anyway), so we have moved on to the next song....which is going to be "Over it".....and I guess somebody with money likes it because we receiced a video grant from Videofact to do a video for "Over it". So, it is almost done and edited and ready for servicing....which should happen , Lord willing, the second week of August. So, as soon as you see it...or hear of it's add to Much ....PLEASE call and request it CONSTANTLY!!!! This could make all the difference with touring etc. On the touring note.....my manger is trying to book some acoustic type gigs in Canada for the end of August , early September...just tentative right now....but as soon as there is a confirmed schedule..I'll let you all know.
As well as the video , we should be sending out the single to radio around the same time.....as soon as I have a list of stations...I will post them and then you can let your fingers do the dialing. It all helps so much....you have no idea the power you all have in your little hands!!!!
Anyhow, so that's the scoop for now....see , there is stuff going on even if I don't write in the journal....so keep checking in with me. I have not been able to get into my mailbox on this site....but , I'll try again...in case some of you are writing. Anyhow, Love you all and I am TRYING my darndest to get out on the road.......really, I am, but with no agent..it's quite an undertaking...still WE WILL PREVAIL , eventually.
take care......
Love , Mrs. Kristy Thirsk

Well, it's here...it finally happened. I actually released my cd!!! I know some of you thought it would never happen...but here we are. If you check out the news section you'll find more about the particulars of the release. It's out there...but is anyone going to know? I don't have a label behind right now pouring marketting money into it...so it's up to us!! Word of mouth and requests at radio stations. Phone them all up and ask them why in the hell they are not playing "Run Away" by yours truly yet. I really do want to get on the road ASAP, and we are looking into tours and trying to get that happening. I will be on Urban Rush on March 24th and my cd release party is at the Media Club on March 26. I love hearing from people, so please feel free to let me know if you can or can't find my cd and what your fave songs are etc. I find fan input very interesting. Well....time for nighty night for me. Thanks to everyone for staying interested in me and waiting for so long for me to finally get something tangible out there. Love you lots

Hi folks. Just a little update for ya'll. Well, I shot my first video in like 10 years on Friday night/Saturday morning and what a surreal experience it was. It was shot completely in the dark in the woods of Stanley Park. Pretty trippy (litterally) to be running around in the forest as blind as a bat. It made for very believable scenes though, since I truly was about to fall over all of the time. This video is for "Run Away" , which is what is suppose to be my first single, however, I don't know if anybody has added it yet. The video was directed by Bill Morrison who's credit's inclued - Delerium, Mathew Good, Ogar(from Skinny Puppy), The Peppersands......... I don't want to give too much away, but I will tell you that I was up until 9 a.m. the following morning and I FROZE MY BUT OFF!
Oh, just so you know and you can spread the word..."souvenir" comes out March 9th in Canada and should be in AandB sounds across western Canada as well as the VIrgin Megastore downtown Vancouver. I will have a listening post at Virgin too! I believe Maple will be distributing the cd to stores in the East of Canada as well, but I have not heard the details yet. I'll be sure to let you know as soon as I do.
I have slated my cd release party for March 26 at the Media Club and I will be on Urban Rush on March 24th to perform 2 songs. Still no word on when Canada A.M. will air....but apparantly there will be a story/interview in the Province newspaper the week of the release. I hope to have the video to Much Music in the next week or so...after that you must request away!!!! That goes for radio too.....fans can make a huge difference in the amount of radio play an artist receives.
I almost forgot to mention....I got a really good review in the Georgia Straight and in Chart Magazine......I will post those reviews on the site very soon.
Oh, one more thing...I am trying to get a Canadian tour booked in the next little while so keep yourself posted on that news. Hope all is well in your worlds. talk to you soon.

Hi everyone!! Just checking in with ya'll and giving you and update. Ok.....don't think I'm flaky but my cd release is changed AGAIN!!! This time is IS FOR SURE though as I know the cd's have gone into production...anyway, my official cd release date for Canada is MARCH 9th, 2004. Really, really it is. I know I've said that before. Anyhow, that is the date and I am trying to plan a cd release party for Vancouver right now. I have not heard from my agent as far as a tour schedule yet, but I will have that up as soon as I know anything.
I hope some of you had a change to see my performance with Johnny and a wicked cello player from Toronto named Alex McMaster, on the Mike Bullard Show. I think it turned out really well and Mike has invited me back again. I'm looking forward to that. I did play on Canada A.M. as well, but they have not told me when it will air yet. I'll keep you posted.
I think I may have mentioned this, but I DID NOT get the video grant for Run Away so we are going to do a different video relying more on locations rather than special effects. We should be shooting the video this weekend and I'll tell you all about it when it happens.
Pillofite - I talked to Harland the other day and we are hoping to get together in April to do a week of writing and production for Pillofite. It depends on the financial situation and also on what is happening with me regarding touring etc.
Well, I think that is the skinny for now. It's fianlly sunny in Vancouver so I think I am going to go and stare out the window or sit on the porch with my eyes closed for awhile. Love you.

2004-02-09
Hi Everybody. I am just checking in before I jet off to Toronto today. I am really excited to be playing Canada A.M. and The Mike Bullard Show this Wednesday, February 11th as well as The Toronto Show on Feb 13th. Johnny and I are hooking up with a cello player for these performances , so don't miss them!!
On the record front, my cd OFFICIALLY comes out in Canada March 2nd so tell all of your friends and enemies alike. While I am in Toronto I will be meeting my new booking agent, Ralph James from THE AGENCY GROUP...who represents Nickleback as well as countless other successfull artists, to talk about touring plans. Hopefully I come home with some kind of idea of when I will be on the road to support the cd release. I was going to be shooting a video in T.O. while I was there, but the grant that I thought was coming to me for the video was not awarded to me, so I believe Bill Morrison and I will be filming a different video when I return home. The single , that you should hopefully be hearing soon, is Run Away....the more requests , the better if you know what I mean.
Well, I have to finish packing now. See you all on the T.V.!!
Kristy
2004-01-21
Hi Folks!!! Just wanted to give you an upadate on what is happeing with my record etc. etc. Well, it is OFFICIALLY going to be released on March 2,2004 in Canada. I know the date has moved a couple of times, but the reason for that is I won't know about the status of a grant for the first video until Feb 5th , so we had to push the release date so it all jelled together. There is no turning back now though because I am going out to T.O. to do some press and talk shows to promote the release of "souvenir". I will be in Toronto the second week of February and I will be appearing on The Mike Bullard show while I am there!! I may also be shooting the video for "Run Away" while I am in T.O. as well. Oh, I guess I should mention when I will be on Mike Bullard.....it will be February 12, so make sure you get nap in that day so you can tune in later. I think he is on at midnight or so. I am getting excited now!!!! I will also be appearing on the Toronto Show February 13th. I think the Toronto Show is a daytime thing....not totally sure about that though. There will probably be other appearances and radio guest spots etc. I will post them when I have all of the dates confirmed.
Well, that's the skinny for now. Make sure you check the site more often now that the cd release is approaching as I am certain there will be more mentions of appearances and tours etc. Hope you are all well. Quita and I send our love.

Well, I can't believe it but another has almost come and gone. I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year before I get all caught up in the whirlwind of the holiday season. I still have Christmas shopping to do...and tonight is my last opportunity, so I am going out with purpose tonight.
My show with Mystery Machine on Wednesday was AWESOME!!! We sold out the Media Club and both shows were incredible....not to toot my own horn or anything, but I just had so much fun! I am hoping to get some pics from the show....of all of the performers. I talked to a girl named Kimberly at the show and she said that she had been taking shots of me and other artists for awhile....so Kimberly, if you are reading this....PLEASE send my live shots...and then I can add them to the gallery so that you all can see moments from this last show, and others.
My new release date is set now for Febuary 17th ......reason being is that we have to wait to find out about a video grant, so I hope you can wait patiently. I should have my single out in Canada a few weeks before then so watch out for it. Also, watch out for press and reviews during that time too!
Well, time for me to go now. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday........and don't forget to STUFF YOUR FACES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2003-12-03
Hi everyone! Just a little update for ya'll. Well, the official release date for my "souvenir" cd is January 27, 2004. Most likely there will be a single and video out a week or so before, maybe two. Unless we don't get everything we need to Maple, in which case the release date would be a week or so later than that, but right now that is the date we are aiming for.
Did you notice that I finally put some pics in the gallery......as time goes on I become less intimdated by all that computer stuff. I actually just recently purchased a G4 Laptop and I am in the process of setting up a little home studio with it and , of course a little bit of outboard gear. I have been writing songs for the next record already, and I thought it was about time that I was able to produce the songs more fully myself in the luxury of my home. I'm excited about it!
PILLOFITE - I don't know if all of you know about my side project with Harland called PILLOFITE. We had a great week of writing and recording and are still getting songs together for our cd. I don't anticipate this cd to be released in early 2004 , but perhaps later in the year. We are working on a website and had some photo's taken by Johann Wall for PILLOFITE. I'm sure once we have one song completely produced we will put up a sample or download on our site. Anyway , I'll keep you posted.
A couple more things - I have a show coming up with Mystery Machine on December 17th at the Media Club, on Cambie street in Vancouver and of course in the new year I should be touring Spring and Summer. My manager is talking to a very cool booking agent about possible tours for next year.
Regarding my pup Quita, some of you were so sweet and sent me emails concerned about her and wanted to help if you could....thank you so much.....but actually she is FINALLY starting to use her little leg again, so there is definatlely some progress.
Well, that's it for now.....I'll keep you posted.

Hello everyone, Just checking in with you to give you an update on what's been going on with me in the last little while. Well, for starters, the last week I have been busy writing away with HARLAND (www.harlandmusic.com), who was the other singer singing with me on the Delerium tour. Harland and I became good friends on the tour and decided to start a side project called PILLOFITE. We have registerd the domain name and recently finished a photo session to get some promo shots to put up on the "Pillofite" website that we are planning to get up and running soon. Harland was here for about a week (just drove her to the airport to go back to New York today) and we wrote about 6 songs. We already had two written before she came out. Well on our way to having a complete album! I am really excited about this. It has been so much fun and I think we wrote a couple of "hits" together, though I am sure some braindead AandR person somewhere will have to coin the phrase "I don't hear the hit" one more time, just for me to have a good laugh. And then , Harland and I will just laugh all the way to the bank!!!!! But seriously, that is not what is all about, but it is fun to get a few digs in now in then about the "state of the industry", quote unquote. Anyhow, I digress......We wrote some killer songs and you will soon hear a sample of some, don't you worry.
As far as the offical release of "Souvenir", my solo cd, we are slating a late January release. I have singed a distribution deal with Maple/Universal and we are now just setting everything into place to get my cd's out there and in the stores. Also, I met with video director Bill Morrison (Delerium, Mathew Good, Adrienne Peirce) a couple of weeks ago and we have sent in a Videofact request so that we can get funding to do a video for "Run Away" which will likely be the first single coming out in January. I should know about the status of the video at the beginning of December.
What else? Oh, my little Chihuahua "Quita" (key ta) had hip surgery about a month ago. Unfortunately she is quite happy to prance around on three legs , so I have some heavy duty doggy therapy ahead of me! If anyone has any suggestions on what might be good for her to help her get the use of her leg back , please email and let me know.
One more thing....I am playing an acoustic set on Novemeber 25th at the Media Club(Green Room) and a full band gig December 17th at the same place, with Mystery Machine. I will have cd's for sale at both shows. Oh, by the way....the show out in Abbotsford has been cancelled. Sorry about that, but I will be touring soon in the new year and I hope that I am able to make it extensive and cover most of Canada and the U.S. We'll see. It will depend on how the cd's are selling.
Well, it's beddy bye time for me now. Nighty night and "ruff ruff", Quita say's good night too!

Happy Halloween everyone! Just checking in with y'all. Sorry it's been awhile...I always say that, don't I. Anyway, here is the update. While my cd's are for sale online now at maplemusic.com/artists/kth/default.asp I am not going to officailly release it until the new year...most likely end of January. The reason for this is that I am still independent and trying to get a single out to radio or even get cd's in stores is next to impossible with all of the competition from HUGE artists during the months before Christmas. So, my manager and I decided we would have a better shot at radio and other things in the new year. Also, trying to tour right now is not the safest bet. I have actually met with a video director named Bill Morrison (Mathew Good, Delerium, Adrienne Peirce)and we have put in an application to videofact for a grant to do a video for the first single. So the plan is to release everything sort of at the same time to make the most of it and then plan a tour soon after that.
I did sign a distribution deal with Maple/Universal so hopefully this should make my cd available across the country. I am still talking to some labels in the U.S. so we'll see what happens with that next year. I know it seems like a long wait, believe me....I don't want to wait, but I want to make the best decision for the bigger picture. Bla bla bla....enough about me.
MYSTERY MACHINE!!! I am doing a couple of shows with Mystery Machine. One in November and one in December. It should be really fun and some great great music. We are talking about covering each other's songs in our sets. If you can make it down to one of the shows posted in the calendar section.....you really should.
Anyhow, I guess that is it for now. I will keep you posted on the video and other things.

Hello everyone!!! Well, there is only one Delerium show left on the tour. Tomorrow night we play in Atlanta, Georgia and then we are all flying home the next day. I am really going to miss everyone. The tour has been very successful and the people I have been with the last three weeks are all amazing! Harland and I are already working on songs together for our side project, which will be called......oh, I can't say yet., but soon!
I want to say thanks to all of my fans and Delerium fans who I have met on the tour. It has truly been a pleasure to talk to you all and get to know you a little. Thanks for buying my cd and supporting me for as long as you have. Also, thanks to everyone who has given me little gifts when I met them. A very nice gesture and I appreciate it.
When I get home I will be setting up my sight so that those of you who could not purchase my "souvenir" cd on the Delerium tour, will be able to get it online. Also, after I am home I should be inking a distribution deal for Canada, so that should help get my cd's out to the stores in Canada and probably available on a few more web sites. I will fill you in as I work on stuff.
We also made some video of some of the shows with Delerium and I will be get that online soon as well.
Thanks so much for all of your support. Lot's of love from me......Kristy.

Hey everybody!!! I am on tour with Delerium right now. I am having a blast and everybody on the tour is really cool! We are in Boulder , Colorado right now...a very beautiful place. It reminds me a little of B.C. actually. The people who are featured on this tour are as follows: Vocals - me and a really cool chick, whom I have become really good friends with named Shelley Harland. She goes by Harland as her music name and you can check her out at www.harlandmusic.com. We are actually working on a little side project together right now that is really cool! The drummer on the tour is Adrian White who has played with Frontline Assembly a bunch of times. Guitars are played by Shaun Ashby who has toured with Sarah Maclaughlin alot and the bass player is this really cool gal from L.A. Shelley and I are taking photo's and some fans have too. We are trying to get them up on our websites as soon as we have time to get it all situated. Of course, I would not leave out the men behind the music of Delerium: Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber!
The opening band is Rhys's side project called Conjure one and a wicked singer named Chemda is singing in that band. If you come to any shows make sure and get there early enought to see Conjure one!
Well, that is my update for now. We will try to get some pics up soon! Keep posted!

Hi everyone!!!! Sorry it's been awhile....again. I have been very busy trying to get the artwork for my cd together and learning songs for the Delerium tour. Also, my cd is in New York right now being mastered....and it needs to be in my hot little hands by Friday for me to have enough time to get some cd's printed and pressed for the first show in Vancouver. I have been working my little but off to make this happen so those of you who come to the a Delerium show and want to purchase my cd, can. I am calling the cd "Souvenir" so it seems fitting to bring it home after a memorable night of haunting sounds, lovely singing and good times! Hope to see alot of you at the Delerium shows. This cd release is not an "official" release as of yet...still determining the best time for that and if I will have record company support. So, what this means is that this release is a limited edition live show sale on the Delerium tour. If I can get it together I may try and have it available on the website during this time, but if not I will have it available on the site soon after the tour is done.
I have been emailing the other singer that is touring with me and she is really cool. Her name is Shelley Harland, and she is living in New York right now. We talked on the phone tonight and had quite a few laughs. I think we are going to have some good times on this tour.
Well, just wanted to let you all know what was happening with the cd and the tour. The tour dates are posted in the latest News section, so check them out and come on down to the Delerium show nearest you!
bye bye, Kristy

Hello there, it's me!
First and foremost.....YES, the rumours are true, I am touring with Delerium in September. We will be doing a month long tour across most of North America. Mostly in the U.S., but I believe we will be in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal in Canada. I'm very excited about this. I'm not sure if I will be singing all of my songs on Karma or not yet. Maybe if you email Nettwerk and let them know what songs you want to hear live! That might be kind of cool! Don't be biast because of me , I truly want you to let them know what your favoite songs on the Delerium records are. So, yes it really is happening!
Onto my solo record.....I am in the process of finding a person to master it. I am also picking the photo's for the artwork and working on ideas for the artwork of the cd. I have to have all of this done and pressed by Sept 1st as we are leaving for Seattle on the 4th of September. What this means is that you can get my LTD. editon, unofficially released cd on the Delrium tour! I hope alot of you can make it to a show. If you want to find out about the dates check out Pollstar.com or check this website in a couple of days as they will be up there soon!
I got an offer from a distribution company so hopefully that will all pan out and it will be easy for you to find the cd's when it is officially released. As for now there is no official release date, but cd's will be on sale on the Delerium tour and soon after that through the website. Thanks for hanging in there and being so patient. I think you will be happy with the results though. Talk to you soon!

Hi All,
Well, just a quick update as I am off to rehearsal with my band in a few minutes....why am I rehearsing you ask? Well, I may have a "quote, unquote" showcase for a label this month some time. Of course I have no idea when yet. Apparantly it could be the week of the 23rd of June. Since I don't know when the date is going to be it has been kind of hard to book into a venue as of yet. If anyone knows of any acts coming to Vanvcouver during that time, that I would suit playing with, or not at this point, please write me and let me know your thoughts. I will let you know when I know.
On another note, I am going to do a photo shoot for the album cover this coming up Saturday. It sounds like it's going to be fun.....at least shopping for it was!!!! I'll give you a hint about the direction of the shoot.....think Quess jeans add (minus the gorgeous, chest baring model). Well, I really do have to go and rehearse now but I will be checking in alot more often now that I can access my site from home. Take care all. The countown to the release is on!!!!!!!

Hello everyone, I am alive just in case you were wondering. I know it has been far too long since my last update and I apologize for that. I suppose I just didn't think I really had any news up until now.
Basically what has been going on is; I have been trying to figure out some financing to finish mixing my record. It has taken awhile, but it looks as though we have worked something out with Eric Rosse (producer) to finish the mixes in L.A. I am leaving Vancouver on the 26th of April and will stay for a week and a bit. We have 14 days booked off with him to do the mixes and we will get done what we can in that time. FINALLY!!!!!! If you've been unpatient, imagine how I feel!!!! I just hope Miss Presley doesnt bump me out of any more studio time this trip. If she does I will challenge her to a mud wrestling match to settle it! The reason I mention her in case you haven't been following, is because something or other to do with her was continually causing delays in getting my record done over the past year and a bit. I'm really not mad about anything. This is all in jest. I would however still like to get in the mud pit with her!
On to other things....I thought you might like to know that it is looking like Delerium will tour soon, maybe in September, and I will be joining them on the tour! I'm looking forward to it because not only will I get to sing some of my favorite Delerium songs, I will be SELLING MY SOLO CD'S on the tour. I will post more info as it gets to me.
So let's see......have I covered everything? Delrium, mixing.............oh ya, I almost forgot the most important peice of news. I adopted a PUPPY!!!!! I will be posting pictures of her and I soon (you probably don't believe me). She is a teacup, long haired chihuahua named Quita (Key-ta) and she is the new love of my life!!!! She weighs only a little over 2 pounds and wont weigh much more than that full grown. You'll fall in love when you see her too!
Oh, one more thing. I think I will be playing Music West at the end of May. I havent received confirmation of a date yet, but when I know you will know. Hope all of you are well and the countdown is really on now!!!!!
Love Kristy and Quita

Hi everyone, it's been a little while since my last update. Sorry about that. I decided to take some time off, even from the music business, and just enjoy the holidays. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years.
Last time I wrote I said that I was hoping to be finished mixing by January, but it didn't happen. I am still working out the details regarding that front and I will let you all know what is going on as soon as I know. I'm working on it, so please hang tight. I am not going to get into all of the business about finishing the mixing etc. , but I will say this ; It wouln't hurt if everyone said a little prayer to maybe help something come together soon so we can make this album happen, and so you can all finally have new songs to listen to.
On another note, Johnny and I are currently working on updating the gallery so you have something new to look at. Keep posted to see when that will be ready and available for viewing.
Thanks for hanging in there and thanks for all of your letters of support through email. I love you all.

Hi all, I wanted to take a moment to update ya'll on what is going on in Kristy's (my) world these days.
I just purchased a hard drive for Eric to transfer all the music files of my album (the album was recorded in Pro Tools) onto and send up to me. Unfortunately it looks like Eric wont have the time to mix my entire album. He has mixed 3 songs already but cannot mix the rest. What this means is that I will have the tracks in my hot little hands in a week or so and can make sure things get done on schedule. My plan is to have the entire record mixed before the end of the year.
I am looking into possible mixers in Vancouver. At the moment I am going to try and mix a track with my friend Vic Levak (co - writer on Balligomingo) at Hush Studios and see how that goes. If it turns out well (which I am pretty confident it will) we will probably mix the majority of the album at Hush with Vic. However, I might like to try a few different people for a song or two so if there are any musicians out there who have any suggestions for me, please email me through the site. I would love to hear from you.
On another note, I have good news about the upcoming Delerium release. It looks like the song that I recorded with them a few months ago will be on the upcoming album. I am not sure what they are officially calling the song yet, but when I recorded it it was called "Returning". YAYE!!!!!!!! I am happy about this.
Well, that's the update for now, but you know .........I'LL BE BACK!

2002-11-01
Hi everyone and Happy Belated Halloween! I went out to a party last night, even though I was determined that I was not going to dress up this year. I say that every year and then I always end up finding something in my closet at the last minute, which probably doesn't say too much for my wardrobe! I always end up having fun anyway! Hope you all had a good night.
Anyhow, it is November now and the Christmas decorations are probably in the stores already. That is scary, isn't it. It seems like only a couple of weeks ago that I was hanging out with the Rose Chronicles.
Enough about the past, I want to talk about the future, which will be here before we know it. I received some rough mixes for my album the other day so I wanted to share that with you. My manager and I have been listening to the songs to try and decide which 3 or 4 could be possible radio singles and candy for those corporate ears. These mixes are only the first very rough drafts of the songs, but they will help us get an idea of the various vibes of the songs. This is not an easy process. It is sort of like having to pick your favorite child or something. Wish me luck!
I will write again when we think we know what songs will win this contest!

Hi everyone, I am sorry for the lapse in time since my last entry. I actually did try to update awhile ago but there have been some problems with the website server, I apologize.
Now that the bad news is out of the way I'll give you the good news...I FINALLY FINISHED RECORDING!!!!!!! YAYE! The capital letters are to try and express my excitement through to you. I actually returned home from L.A. at the end of September. I had lots of fun during this final session because I was singing, and of course that is what I love to do the most. Eric and I worked very quickly and we ended up finishing the vocals before we had predicted. We were so confident in how fast we were going to finish that I ended up changing my flight home earlier than it was originally booked becuase we knew we only had one day left of guitars, so I did the flight change and of course on the day I was supposed to record, Eric's computer decided to malfunction so we could not record that day. This is all part of the law of recording averages, and we should have expected as much because the whole thing was going along just a little TOO
smoothly. I ended up finishing the last guitar track here, in Vancouver, at Hush Studios with my friend and producer Vic Levak. It all worked out in the end.
So the recording process is finished and I am now waiting for some rough mixes which are suppose to arrive this week. After I get the roughs my manager and I will pick a few songs for Eric to focus on so that she can start "shopping" them etc. Whether or not I sign a record deal the cd will be released next year, hopefully and probably February to early Spring. I am working on the artwork right now and making arrangements to be able to sell it on the website. It's all coming together and I will be updating you as much as possible. I think I even have a title for the cd, but I am going to keep that a secret for awhile.
On another note, I have been getting a lot of emails regarding the Balligomingo plagerism thing and I want you to know that I do appreciate the support and always love to hear the opinion of my fans, so keep them coming, but I would like to suggest that you also send your opionions to RCA records, which is the label Balligomingo is signed to. I think it is important that they also know what people feel about this situation. For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, I will clear that up soon. Next time I make a diary update I am going to explain the whole situation so there are not so many unanswered questions for those of you who are interested.
Thanks for being patient and I will talk to you soon!
Love, Kristy

Hello everyone, it has been awhile since my last entry so I wanted to keep all y'all up to speed on the latest developments
on the recording process and such.
First of all I did complete my track for the upcoming Delerium release. Rhys Fulber was in the studio with me to produce the track and everything turned out well. It is still not 100% certain it
will end up on the fianl release, but most likely it will. Cross your
fingers!
As far as my ongoing solo recording; I am actually in L.A. right now starting the final vocal tracks. So far I have recorded about six lead vocals and some harmonies in the last couple days. I will be in the studio again later today. I am having lots of fun singing my little heart out. We still have a couple of guitar tracks to do and we plan to get a cello player in on a couple songs but the vocals all have to be finished before that can happen.
I am staying in Holly!
wood with my beautiful and talente
d friend
Anne Ford (actress and comedian - you may have seen her on an episode of jay walking about 6 months ago). I am in walking distance from the studio ("walking distance" is a term not used too often in L.A.) which makes things very convenient.
I have been getting alot of emails from people who are supporting me with the Balligomingo plagerism thing and I want to say thanks. It's nice to know I have the support of my fans and that alot of people agree with me about the similarites between the chorus melodies of "Incantation" (Delerium - Semantic Spaces) and Bali's "Lost " track. Some of the emails sent pertaining to this issue were very amusing and I enjoyed reading those also.
Tomorrow is the anniversary of 9 11 so take a moment and appreciate your life and being alive and think of those who were directly affected by the tragedy last year. I actually wrote a song called "If Only", which I just sang the vocal for yesterday ,which is s!
ort of about my reaction to that d
ay. It's hard to believe a whole year has gone by already.
Last night my friend Dave and I went to The Viper Room for "METAL SHOP!". METAL SHOP is this hilarious band that does all really cheezy , 80's, hair band songs. They dress up in leapord spandex, glittery bandana's, long, long, crazy ass long hair wigs and they have stage names like "Michael Diamond,
Ratchet and Ginger Rocks". It is so hilarious. They have band fights on stage, do the rapid fire tounge gag and the whole bit. If you are ever in L.A. on a Monday night you have to check it out. It has become somewhat of a tradition for me now. Last night a couple of members of CINDERELLA actually joined them on stage for one of their own songs. Great entertainment!
Well, I need to get to the studio now so I will sign off, but I will keep updating the diary as things progress. Bye!
2002-07-19
Hello everyone,
I know it has been awhile since my last diary entry so I wanted
to update everyone since I actually do have some news.
First and foremost, the recording, which has been delayed yet
again until September. Eric does assure me that this will be
the last delay and that we will finish recording and mixing by the
end of September, which happens to be exactly when my
manager, Cheryl Hall, wants to start shopping it to labels and
playing it for radio stations. This is the plan, but don't hold me
to it becuase this is the music industry which seems to exist,
in my experience, without clocks or calendars. If I am not
recording in early September I will have a major major MAJOR
pre-madonna temper tantram on your behalf (and my own!).
The good news is that Delerium has asked me to contribute
my voice and songwriting to !
their upcoming release. I am
actually in the studio, working on the demo for them right now.
You know what's kinda funny........the title of the track they gave
me to work is called "Returning". Well, I think it's kind of funny anyway. Maybe they missed me? Anyhow, it is not a done deal
until they put it in writing that it will appear on the new release,
so we'll see what everyone thinks about it when they hear it. I
will let you know whether I pass or fail.
Also, I did an interview on a website called "musicaldiscoveries.
com.". You should check it out....there are some interesting
little tid-bits in the interview.....you might even say .........................
controversial. You might say it, not me.
Well I must sign off now so I can get back to work in the studio.
Talk to you soon.................LOVE Kristy

Hi everyone! I am back home in Vancouver and happy to be home again, although I do love L.A. It is becoming my home away from home. While Johnny and I were there this last time we kept commenting that every place we went to seemed so much closer than on previous trips. So, basically we got all of the bass and most of the guitar tracks done, all of Johnny’s anyway, and all that is left to do is a couple of guitar tracks of mine, perhaps some cello and most of my vocals. Everything is sounding sooooooo sweet!
I should work out when I will be back in L.A to finish up the recording, in the next couple of weeks. As soon I confirm some dates kristythirsk.com will know. Well, that’s my update for now…..talk to you soon!
2002-05-01
So it is the second week into recording and things are going really well. Johnny has finished all his bass parts and now it is finally my turn to start on some guitar parts. So far we have 3 acoustic tracks in the can and they are sounding oh so groovy. The last song we finished on acoustic is called "In the dream" and it has a very Marvin Gaye rhythm feel to it in the bass and drum parts and then my acoustic part is a cross between poppy and funky....very cool and it makes you want to get up and dance....which I do occasionally during the sessions.
We are having such a blast in the studio. Laughing constantly...the vibe is so right. The other day we were recording the bass part for Second Fiddle and the new drum part has kind of a Elephant march feel to it....very fun to listen to. Anyway, Eric proceeds to tell us about how he loved to do animal imitations as a child. So then he went ahead and did the Elephant!
imitation which made us all fall
over laughing. I insisted that he go in the isolation booth and record the Elephant into the track (Second Fiddle). It was so hilarious that he had to pack it in for the night and end on that "note" so to speak.
Also, one of Eric's good friends Matt Chamberlain stopped by the studio. Matt is a very famous drummer who plays on everything from Fiona Apple, The WallFlowers, Tori Amos, Pearl Jam (his initial gig). Basically, if you have heard of the person, he probably played on the album...so that was pretty exciting. I wonder how Jimmy Paxson, the drummer who played on the tracks we are recording now will feel about Mr. Chamberlain having a listen to his performances. Good, I am sure.
Today is a day off while Eric finishes up a track with Lisa Marie, so I had some time to make an update to the diary.
I think tonight I will go and see a movie. Ciao for now.
2002-04-01
It has been a long and twisty road, but I am finally here in L.A. recording my debut full lenght cd with producer Eric Rosse and long time guitar player Johnny Savella. In the studio with Eric is always magical and we are very prolific and productive.
Having that effortless and fun creative relationship in the studio is very important, so I am glad that I waited until I found the right producer before commiting to doing my cd. I am not going to tell you what to expect because I don't really know myself yet. We have most of the drums recorded already, which are very groove oriented but beyond that, we will just see where the songs take us. It's going to be very exciting to hear the end result.
Lately I have been revisiting my past and listening to more soulful artists like Aretha Franklin (one of the first tapes I bought, after ABBA of course), Diana Ross and the Carpenters. Of course I never stop li!
stening to Rumours by Fleetwood Ma
c and Heaven or Los Vegas by the Cocteau Twins. Some new stuff that is very funky is No Doubts new cd, ROCKSTEADY and I am pretty impressed with fellow Canadian Remy Shand. He can almost sing as high as me!
I like to always have a book to read and lately I have been totally into an author named ISABEL ALLENDE. House of the Spirits was an awesome book and now that I have read a couple of her books I want to read them all. She tends to write (so far) mostly period pieces which makes for very beautiful (and gothic)imagery.
Since I have recently rediscovered cable tv (lived without it for 8 years) I am totally hooked on "That 70s Show", it totally rocks for fashion inspiration, the Simpsons--oh so twisted in a good way--and of course DAVE (David Letterman).
0000-00-00
Hi there folks. I am on the road with Delerium and having a blast! The shows are going off really well and almost always sold out. Fans are really loving the vibe. The tour features, vocals by me and another cool singer named Shelley Harland (www.harlandmusic.com), drums by Adrian White (who has drummed for Frontline Assembly), Leah on bass (cool sexy chick!), Shaun Ashby on guitar and of course Bill and Rhys on keys. We are having a blast as I said and Shelley and I have become very good friends and plan to do a side project together very soon. We are in Boulder, Colorado right now.....a very beautiful city....reminds me of B.C. actually. Anyhoo, I don't have too much time to write so I will sign off. We are taking pics and video so I will be putting that together when I get home at the end of September. Well, much love to you all and talk to you soon!
